Emma Younan
Three years ago I walked into a gallery showing William Klein's "Wings of the Hawk". I stared at it for an eternity and left the gallery knowing what kind of photographs I want to create.
I learned black and white darkroom photography in college, but have since switched to shooting mainly color film. I love shooting old movie theaters, neon lights, and concerts. I have gotten to travel and capture the nightlife of different cities, and am starting to enjoy taking portraits as well.Â
When I'm not taking photos, I work on set in the camera department or write screenplays. My first experiences on set and in the darkroom were at Santa Monica College. I graduated from UCLA with a BA in Film & Television in 2022, and am now based in Berlin.
